The roles of Storyboard Artists include:

* Drawing storyboards that depict how the action unfolds in a scene, illustrating the acting of characters as well as camera placement
* Developing and advancing the plot, mood, settings and characters
* Developing the dramatic and comedic pace
* Refining, deleting or creating dialogue where needed by the story team
* Solving story and structure problems.
